Customising Bloom’s accessibility experience for your learners
Many of Bloom’s accessibility features will work out of the box, such as the logical order of tabbing, Skip to Content button and the Semantically marked up HTML. It is up to you if and how you change and customise the wording of the various Aria Labels and Alternative Texts. To start amending them, follow the simple steps below.
- Head to the Bloom side menu and click on the Settings tab. You’ll need to find the relevant section (such as the Dashboard) in the Translations tab of this page and then change the Aria Label you wish to amend.

- It is also good practice to add Alternative text to images that you may upload, such as a Library header image.
Finally here is another example of some of the Aria labels that you’re able to change.
